habla espanol?
We started Spanish immersion classes yesterday. I actually started the immersion on the drive down here; deciphering traffic signs and feebly attempting to order verduras no carne por favor. Last night I was able ask our waiter with a bit of confidence- Que es le verdura verde? I had chayottes in my sopa- soup – and had no idea what I was eating.
I also learned to say – Te tengen bien dia – have a nice day! I’m probably butchering the spelling, but trust me my pronunciation rocks. Of course, Tommy was the star pupil, his pronunciation was perfect.
